Most professional celebrants in the UK charge between £600 and £1,000 for a wedding ceremony, with premium packages from £1,200 upwards. Here’s where that money actually goes.
What you’re paying for
Not twenty minutes of talking. The bit you see on the day is the tip of a very large, very caffeinated iceberg.
Before I ever stand up in front of your guests there are 25 to 40 hours of work hiding underneath: a first chat to see if we click, a questionnaire that’s nosier than your nan, planning meetings, the actual writing, the rewriting, the rewriting of the rewriting, a vow-writing book so nobody has to stare at a blank page at midnight, a rehearsal to calm the butterflies, and a steady stream of messages to your venue so everyone knows when the rings are coming out.
Then the day itself: early arrival, a last check of the space, a quiet word with anyone who looks wobbly, and a ceremony delivered like it’s the only one I’ve ever written. Because for you, it is.
Questions to ask before you book
- Is travel included, and to what radius?
- Is a rehearsal included?
- Is the price for the year you book or the year you marry?
- Is there a surcharge for bank holidays?
- What’s the booking fee and when is the balance due?
My prices
They’re on the prices page. No guessing.
